Wiles Mensch Corporation – DC (WMC-DC) provided surveying and civil engineering services for the demolition of an existing office building, and the construction of a 15-story residential building located at 2000 Clarendon Boulevard in Arlington, Virginia.
The WM survey team provided utility and topographic surveys as a basis for the design team, as well as subdivision services. Preliminary and final plat and condominium plans were also provided. Civil services ranged from schematic design to construction administration and include site grading, traffic control plans, and photometric street lighting plans.
The development will include 90 residential condominium units, with a percentage of those units designated as affordable housing. 2,000 SF of ground floor retail, 112 underground parking spaces, a rooftop club room with kitchen, and event space are planned for the project. A two-level cascading pool and sun deck is also be featured as an attracting amenity.
The project was designed to achieve LEED Silver certification.
