WM provided civil engineering and landscape architecture services for the renovation to the Black Entertainment Television (BET) Headquarters (HQ) facility located in Washington, DC. The project involved the design of the exterior spaces to provide an appropriate entry sequence to the corporate headquarters.
Landscape architecture services included the design of an entry sequence featuring undulating serpentine walls with integrated lighting. These walls highlight the new entry vestibule that guest will reach via a specialty paving area that also serves as a BET walk of fame. Integrated wooden benches, and complimentary plantings will be provided accenting and enhancing the variations in the wall. A rear patio space was also designed as part of the project to allow overflow space for an interior conference room, as well as provide a visual barrier to the surrounding industrial uses in this area of the city.
