Wiles Mensch Corporation – DC (WM) is providing surveying and civil engineering services for the removal and replacement of modular administrative buildings for the Children’s National Medical Center (CNMC). The project serves to remove four existing modular buildings on the site and replace them with a single modular building to house administrative functions. The design will also incorporate the installation of new fire line connections to the street.
The WM Survey Team is responsible for providing boundary, topographic, and utility surveys as an existing conditions base for the design team. Stakeout services will also be provided.
Civil scope of services includes stakeout, raze permit documents, construction documents, and stormwater management. The civil team is also responsible for coordinating DC Water and Department of Energy and the Environment (DOEE) approval, and submitting stormwater as-built drawings for DOEE.
WM will also provide specialized building permit services to submit the civil (BCIV) permit application to the Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs (DCRA) to facilitate site specific technical reviews with DCRA sister agencies. The BCIV permit allows WM to submit civil drawings and obtain approval for site construction in advance of the DCRA Building Permit application.
