Wiles Mensch Corporation – DC (WM) provided surveying, civil engineering, and landscape architecture services for a new mixed-use development in Ward 7. The approximately 200,000 SF project incorporates a 175-unit apartment building, 28 townhomes, and a 6,000 SF community center into one residential development. The development is slated to feature amenities including fitness room, community garden, and below-grade parking.
WM was initially responsible for BZA submission in the early stages of the project. Scope of services were expanded to include survey to mark, boundary, topographic, and utility surveys. Civil engineering services were also provided including schematic design through permit drawings, PDRM and PSCH participation, and EISF coordination. Traffic control plans and public streetlight plans were also prepared for this project.
Landscape architecture services included design for the development’s courtyard, construction administration, and GAR coordination. The WM landscape team also participated in ANC and neighborhood meetings to extend community outreach.
The project received LEED design to achieve Enterprise Green Communities certification.
