Wiles Mensch Corporation – DC (WM) provided civil engineering and surveying services for the development of a new state-of-the-art evidence control facility for the DC Metropolitan Police Department. The 30,000 SF facility is comprised of 10,000 SF of administrative space and 20,000 SF designated for storage.

The evidence control facility includes a computer-automated inventory tracking system, video security surveillance, and refrigerated units for storing DNA samples. The facility was design to meet LEED Gold standards.

WM provided layout for the building, parking and new access off an existing cul-de-sac, ADA access, paving, grading, new wet utility services extended to adjacent existing utility mains, stormwater management design using a Stormfilter cartridge facility, erosion & sediment control, LEED gold support, permit approvals and permit processing. Construction Administration services were also fully supported during the entire construction and post- construction phases.
