Wiles Mensch Corporation – DC (WM) is providing surveying services for the development of the Purple Line for the Maryland Transit Administration (MTA). The Purple Line is a 16-mile light rail line that will extend from Bethesda in Montgomery County to New Carrollton in Prince George’s County. It will provide a direct connection to the Metrorail Red, Green and Orange Lines. The Purple Line will also connect to MARC, Amtrak, and local bus services.
WM is providing multiple survey crews to fully address all surveying efforts for the project’s 16-mile site. The main service being provided by the WM survey team is utility stakeout. Stakeout services include all conduits, utility lines and poles, duct banks, traction power lines, and signal control for intersections.
