Wiles Mensch Corporation – DC (WM) is providing surveying, civil engineering and landscape architecture services for Parcel 11 of the Parkside Development. The project will include a 191-unit workforce housing, multi-family apartment building in Ward 7’s Parkside community.

WM is responsible for providing surveys as an existing conditions base for the design team, including a survey to mark (STM) and ALTA survey. WM’s civil scope of services include Planned Unit Development (PUD), building plat, sediment and erosion control plans, and construction document administration. WM also provided sidewalk paving and installation of public fixtures including street lights and bicycle racks. Landscape features include tree strips, a sidewalk zone, site lighting and ample landscape planting in the public parking zone. A green roof design will also provided.

WM’s landscape architecture team is providing services to create a landscaped buffer between the development and the adjacent PEPCO property. Buffer design will require coordination with PEPCO prior to installation. All services are being conducted to comply with DC Office of Planning Green Area Ratio (GAR) requirements and LEED standards.
