Wiles Mensch Corporation – DC (WM) provided surveying, civil engineering, and landscape architecture services for the development of the Rocketship Rise Academy Public Charter School in Southeast Washington, DC. The school hosts 800 students from Pre-K to Fifth Grade, and features two cafeterias, learning labs, a nurse’s suite, special education wing, and 26 classrooms.

WM supported the project with a full range of services from site design to construction administration. The WM Survey team provided a variety of survey services. Surveying included boundary, topographic, and utility surveys, survey to mark, subdivision services, and an ALTA/NSPS survey. The facility was designed to conserve energy and water to create a healthy learning environment and stimulate environmental awareness in the school community.

The WM Landscape division provided playground and green roof design services, as well as GAR coordination and agency coordination and assistance. A significant amount of native and adaptive vegetation was implemented throughout the site.

Rocketship Rise Academy is certified LEED Platinum.
