Wiles Mensch Corporation – DC (WM) provided extensive land surveying and civil engineering services for the revitalization of the historic building located adjacent to the White House, located in the heart of Washington, DC. Due to heightened security in the immediate area, extra precaution was taken when addressing the needs of this project.
The WM survey team was responsible for providing an existing conditions survey during the pre-design phase as a basis for the design team. Civil scope of services included removal and replacement of existing utilities, drainage design and grading for exterior corridors. WM also provided design for erosion and sediment control measures, which included tree and inlet protection. The project was awarded the COTE Top Ten Award in 2018, recognizing excellence in sustainable design programs.
The Renwick Gallery achieved LEED Silver Certification.
