Wiles Mensch Corporation – DC (WM) provided surveying, civil engineering, and dry utility engineering services for a new 5-story, 152-unit affordable housing development for elderly and disabled seniors.

WM completed a boundary, topographic and utility survey to assess existing conditions, as well as an ALTA for financing purposes. Our surveyors recorded a Survey to Mark in the District of Columbia’s Office of the Surveyor for the project. WM’s efforts also aided in the consolidation of the existing lots into a single lot of record.

WM’s civil scope of services includes utility design, site design, grading, sediment + erosion control, and dry utility infrastructure design. Dry utilities services included dry utility plan preparation, coordination, and approvals, and coordinating PEPCO temporary service for the development. In addition, WM provided stormwater management design featuring greenroofs, bioretention planters and a water quality structure. The team performed the approval process of the EISF with DCRA.

Each residential unit will feature private bathrooms, closet space, a kitchenette, and a small living area. The first floor amenity area will feature a dining room, clubhouse, computer lab, wellness center, hair salon, a game room and an exterior landscaped patio area.
