Wiles Mensch Corporation – DC (WM) is providing surveying, civil engineering, dry utility engineering, and landscape architecture services for the development of an 11-story mixed-use project in Southwest DC. The development is slated to include 443 residential units, with 137 designated for affordable housing. The project will also include 7,500 SF of resident amenity space, 11,400 SF of ground-floor retail, a 9,000 SF theater, and 9,000 SF devoted to an educational and daycare space. A green roof will also be featured.

WM’s survey team is providing boundary, utility, and topographic surveys, as well as a survey to mark, as a basis for the design team. Scope of civil services range from schematic design to construction administration, including stormwater management and traffic control plans.

Landscape architecture services will be provided to address green roof design, Green Area Ratio (GAR) calculations, and courtyard lighting. WM is also providing dry utility design for the project, including infrastructure relocation and rerouting, and establishing temporary services with PEPCO. Additional coordination with other local utility providers will be completed as required. The project is expected to achieve LEED Gold certification.
