Wiles Mensch Corporation – DC (WM) provided surveying, civil engineering, and landscape architecture services for this one of a kind mixed-use development housing the DC Fire + EMS Engine Co. #1. The development includes the new 19,085 SF DC fire station, commercial space for a 21,658 SF squash club, a 55,226 SF residential tower with 61 affordable dwelling units, and one level of below-grade parking for 24 vehicles.

WM provided a range of services including boundary, topographic, utility, ALTA, and survey to mark (STM). Civil scope of work included schematic design, design development and PUD, construction documents, and permit processing.

WM was responsible for providing landscape architecture services including design development, construction documents, bidding and negotiation, and construction administration related to the development of the fire station, squash courts, and residential areas.

Completion of services for this unique development involved permitting coordination and approval from the Commission of Fine Arts. The project achieved LEED Silver certification prior to construction completion.
