The Southeastern Bus Garage Replacement facility provides inspection and repair services for Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority’s (WMATA) bus fleet. Situated on a 16-acre site in Southwest Washington, D.C., The development includes a 250-bus facility featuring a two-story, 53,779 SF administration building, a one-story bus maintenance building, a fuel building, a one-story washing building, and a two-story, 179,000 SF parking structure.
WM provided a boundary, topographic, and utility survey for the site. Landscape services included completion a preliminary landscape plan, as well as preliminary Division 2 Outline Specifications, and responded to owner and client comments. WM then prepared a final landscape plan and final Division 2 Specification. The team was also responsible for providing permitting assistance, including preparation of a permit package for the project. Construction administration services were provided, including shop drawing review.
The project achieved LEED Silver certification.
